ORION System Weekly Stock Recommendation: PBF Energy ($PBF) – Verdora Excellence Alliance

Many people’s first impression of PBF Energy is often very simple: “A refining stock. It rises when oil prices rise and falls when oil prices fall.” However, this is a common misunderstanding of refining companies. PBF is not an upstream oil producer. It does not make money by: “Extracting a certain number of barrels of crude oil from the ground.” What it actually does is: Buy crude oil → refine it into gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined products → sell those products into the market. Therefore, what truly matters for PBF is not simply: “Are oil prices high or low?” The more important question is: How much does the company pay for crude oil, and how much can it sell the refined products for afterward? The difference between those two prices is one of the most important profit drivers in refining: Refining Margin. As of September 28, 2026, the most important reason to study PBF is precisely this: The refining industry’s supply-demand environment is improving, while the company’s own balance sheet is undergoing rapid recovery. Latest Financial Results: Net Income Rebounded From Loss to $915 Million In Q2 2026, PBF generated revenue of: $ 11.678 billion . Operating income reached: $1.272 billion. Compared with only: $43 million in the same period last year. Net income reached: $915 million. Net income attributable to PBF Energy: $ 906.4 million. Diluted EPS reached: $ 7.54 . However, one important point must be clarified: This $7.54 EPS should not be interpreted entirely as normal refining profitability. Because Q2 included several special items, with the most important being: Insurance proceeds related to the Martinez refinery fire. These special items contributed approximately: $159.8 million after tax to net income, equivalent to approximately: $1.32 per share . After excluding these special items, PBF’s Q2 adjusted Fully-Converted net income still reached: $ 753.1 million. Adjusted EPS: $6.22. Therefore, even after removing the insurance benefit, Q2 still represented a very strong operating performance. The Most Important Point: The Company Was Still Losing Money One Year Earlier In Q2 2025: PBF’s adjusted Fully-Converted net loss was: $118.5 million. Adjusted loss per share: $1.03. By Q2 2026: -$1.03 per share had become: +$6.22 per…

ORION System Weekly Stock Recommendation: Amgen ($AMGN) – Verdora Excellence Alliance

Many people’s first impression of Amgen is: “A long-established large biotechnology company.” Unlike Moderna, it does not have an mRNA-focused growth story. Unlike smaller biotechnology companies, where one Phase 3 result can dramatically change the company’s valuation. But this is exactly where AMGN is often underestimated. Amgen’s real strength is not: Betting on a single drug. Instead, the company combines: Mature product cash flow + multiple fast-growing medicines + oncology pipeline + cardiovascular business + rare disease assets + next-generation obesity treatment opportunities. Therefore, when analyzing AMGN on September 21, the most important question is not: “Will the next drug succeed?” The real question is: Can Amgen use its already substantial cash flow to successfully transition from legacy products to the next generation of major growth medicines? First Look at the Latest Results: Quarterly Revenue Surpasses $10 Billion In Q2 2026, Amgen generated total revenue of: $10.1 billion. Up: 10% year over year. Product sales increased: 9%. Growth was mainly driven by: Higher sales volume. GAAP EPS increased from: $2.65 in the same period last year to: $4.37. A year-over-year increase of: 65%. Non-GAAP EPS reached: $6.29. An increase of: 4%. More importantly, Q2 free cash flow reached: $3.5 billion. Compared with: $1.9 billion in the same period last year. This highlights one of the biggest differences between Amgen and many biotechnology companies still operating in the clinical development stage: Amgen is not simply spending cash while waiting for future products. The company already has strong current earnings power. And it can use that cash flow to invest in the next generation of medicines. However, $10.1 Billion in Revenue Is Not the Most Important Number The more important development is: Amgen is undergoing a transformation in its product portfolio. In Q2, the company’s six key growth drivers increased by: 26% year over year. These products already represented nearly: 70% of quarterly product sales. At the same time: 22 products achieved double-digit growth. Based on Q2 sales performance annualized: 17 products have already reached more than $1 billion in annual sales. This is highly significant. Because it shows Amgen is no longer: A…

ORION System Weekly Stock Recommendation: Moderna ($MRNA) – Verdora Excellence Alliance

When many people look at Moderna today, their first reaction is still: “The COVID vaccine company.” And this has been one of Moderna’s biggest challenges over the past few years. During the pandemic, the company generated significant revenue from its COVID vaccine. However, after the peak of the pandemic passed, COVID vaccine demand declined, and Moderna’s revenue fell substantially. Therefore, the market has continued asking: “Beyond COVID vaccines, what else does Moderna have?” By September 18, 2026, this question had begun to receive a clearer answer than before. Because Moderna is attempting to transform from: “A company that generated revenue from one COVID vaccine” into: “An mRNA platform company with respiratory vaccines, cancer therapies, and rare disease treatments.” This is the most important investment logic when analyzing MRNA on September 18. First, the Reality: Moderna Has Not Yet Returned to High Revenue Levels In Q2 2026, Moderna generated total revenue of: $145 million. Compared with: $142 million in the same period last year. There was essentially no meaningful growth. GAAP net loss was approximately: $800 million. Diluted loss per share was: $1.97. Compared with: $2.13 per share loss in the same period last year. Therefore, based only on current financial statements, Moderna is not a company with: Rapid revenue growth and continuously rising profits. Quite the opposite. The company remains in a very typical: Product transition phase. The previous growth engine, COVID vaccines, can no longer support its former revenue scale. Meanwhile, new products have not yet fully reached commercial scale. Therefore, the most important question for MRNA today is not: “How much money will the company make this year?” The more important question is: “Can the company’s product pipeline truly replace the previous revenue engine over the next two to three years?” This Is Also the Biggest Difference Between Biotechnology Companies and Traditional Technology Companies When analyzing NVIDIA, investors can focus on: Revenue. Gross margin. Orders. Data center investment. When analyzing Meta, investors can focus on: Users. Advertising revenue. Cash flow. But biotechnology companies like Moderna cannot be analyzed only by looking at next quarter’s revenue.…

ORION System Weekly Stock Recommendation: RingCentral ($RNG) – Verdora Excellence Alliance

When many people look at RingCentral, their first reaction may be: “Enterprise phone software.” Those more familiar with the company understand that: It is a cloud communications SaaS company. Businesses pay a monthly subscription fee and use RingCentral for: Voice calls, messaging, video meetings, team collaboration, and contact center solutions. This understanding is not wrong. However, by September 2026, continuing to view RNG simply as: “A company that moved office phones to the cloud” would no longer fully reflect the company’s transformation. Because RingCentral is now attempting to turn the large amount of enterprise voice and customer communication data it has accumulated into: Agentic Voice AI. Therefore, when analyzing RNG on September 9, the key question is no longer: “Do businesses still need cloud phone systems?” The more important question is: Can RingCentral transform a mature communication business into a new growth opportunity in the AI era? The Latest Earnings Report: Growth Is Moderate, but Business Quality Is Improving Significantly In Q2 2026, RingCentral generated total revenue of: $657 million. Compared with: $620 million in the same period last year. Representing: 5.9% year-over-year growth. Subscription revenue reached: $634 million. Growing: 5.8% year over year. Subscription revenue accounted for: 96% of total revenue. Therefore, if investors only focus on revenue growth: 5.9% is not particularly impressive. RingCentral is clearly not a high-growth SaaS company expanding at: 30% or 50% annually. However, the most important part of the RNG story today is not: A sudden return to rapid revenue growth. Instead, it is: Profitability and cash flow are improving significantly while revenue continues growing. The Most Impressive Q2 Numbers Were Actually Profitability and Cash Flow Q2 GAAP operating income reached: $50 million. Compared with: $37 million in the same period last year. GAAP operating margin improved from: 6.0% to: 7.7%. Non-GAAP operating margin increased from: 22.6% to: 23.4%. Adjusted EBITDA reached: $177 million. Representing an EBITDA margin of: 26.9%. The improvement in EPS was even more notable. GAAP diluted EPS increased from: $0.14 in the same period last year to: $0.45. Non-GAAP EPS increased from: $1.06 to:…

ORION System Weekly Stock Recommendation: Meta Platforms ($META) – Verdora Excellence Alliance

When many people think about Meta, their first reaction is still: Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The natural assumption is that the company mainly operates through: Users consuming content → Platforms displaying advertisements → Meta generating advertising revenue. This understanding is not wrong. However, by September 2026, continuing to view META simply as: “A social media advertising company” would underestimate the transformation currently taking place. Because what Meta is truly trying to build now is: Using the massive cash flow generated by its advertising business to develop AI models, AI products, and AI computing infrastructure. Therefore, when analyzing META on September 2, the key question is no longer: “Can Facebook continue growing?” The more important question is: Can Meta transform its ecosystem of more than three billion users into one of the largest AI distribution channels in the world? The Latest Earnings Report Shows Revenue Remains Extremely Strong On July 29, Meta released its second-quarter 2026 earnings results. Quarterly revenue reached: $60.801 billion. Compared with: $47.516 billion in the same period last year. Representing: 28% year-over-year growth. Within the Family of Apps segment: Ad impressions increased: 14% year over year. Average advertising price increased: 12% year over year. Family Daily Active People, representing the number of daily users across Meta’s applications, reached: 3.6 billion people. Growing: 3% year over year. The key point is not only: Revenue increased 28%. More importantly, both major drivers of Meta’s advertising business continued operating: More advertisements being delivered. And: Higher value generated from each advertisement. This indicates that as of Q2, Meta’s core advertising business still maintained very strong monetization capability. AI Is No Longer Just Meta’s Future Story — It Is Already Improving Today’s Advertising Business In the past, when people discussed Meta’s AI investments, many viewed them as: “The company is spending heavily for the future.” However, the situation has changed. AI is now improving Meta’s most profitable business: Advertising. Through AI, Meta can better understand: What content users are interested in. What products they may purchase. When users…
